Abstract - Exuberance! by Marcy Brennan

Oil on 30" x 30" x 1.5" deep gallery canvas

There are lots of layers in this painting that gives it rich texture.  The last layer was painted with a large palette knife and at the end, I added drips to create even more interest and texture.  This was just one of those days that everything worked perfectly.  I really love the way the colors blended and new colors happened with the drips.  Colors excite me and that's why I love painting so much!

Buddy - Stephanie's Soul Dog - RIP by Marcy Brennan

Acrylic on 12" x 12" x 1.5" deep gallery canvas - NFS

I painted this for my daughter who rescued Buddy from the Humane Society.  Sadly, Buddy had cancer and they had to put him down a few months ago.  I did this painting for my daughter and her family to remember this gentle, lovable dog by.  We think he was a lab-dalmation mix, but whatever the breed, he was my daughter's soul dog and loved by everybody he met.

Abstract - Coral Life by Marcy Brennan

Acrylic on 24" x 24" x 3/4" gallery canvas

This is the third in my series of three abstract paintings.  I put it on Facebook and asked for some suggestions for a name for it.  One of my friends said it reminded her of coral in the sea, so I decided to name it Coral Life in keeping with the "Life" names I used in my first two in this series.  It has lots of layers of paint so there is some nice texture in this painting.
