This is another plein air painting I started onsite at Immokolee, an historic home in western Fort Pierce.  I sketched everything on site and did the ink and watercolor in my studio.  It was a beautiful, fun day of painting.

I absolutely fell in love with this French Country style historic home in west Fort Pierce called Immokolee.  I painted this on site at the annual artists' day there.  It was a beautiful day and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I love architectural close-ups and this home was so incredibly picturesque.  I have tons of reference photos from all different angles of this historic old home in Fort Pierce, FL called Immolokee, also known as the Dorothy Binney Palmer home.  The owners were gracious enough to invite local artists out for a day of painting, photographing and just wandering around their lovely grounds in February.  The weather and light that day couldn't have been more perfect!  Thus the name of this piece, Marvelous Light.

I painted this watercolor for this month's Virtual Paintout blog.  It's a little area of shops in Vilnuis, Lithuania.  I was attracted to the weathered look of the building and the little balcony with wrought iron fence.  It's just quaint and sweet.
