This is my submission to this month's Virtual Paintout blog and this month's spot is Bulgaria.  The actual photo was taken in the winter, but it lacked interest (color), so I changed the setting to spring and I like the way it turned out.  The  red tiled roofs and the different levels the homes were set on are what attracted me to this scene.

This was an extra painting I did from my virtual travels in Lithuania.  It won't go on the Virtual Paintout blog because they only accept three paintings.  However, I really loved this beautiful little road with its lush garden-like plants on each side and decided to indulge my love of quaint, garden-lined paths.

This is my submission for February's Virtual Paintout Blog using photos from Google Street View.  It is Camino Real in Valparaiso, Chile.  I had fun painting the bright red fence and buildings against the dark green backdrop of trees and the curvy road.

#2 of 3 in my New Brunswick, Canada series.  This series came about when I discovered the Virtual Paintout website that challenges artists to use Google Street View to find painting references.  Each month, a new location somewhere in the world is selected.  I love the intersection of art and technology!  And I get to paint places I'll never be able to visit in person.  This is so exciting!!!  I can't wait to see next month's location ;-)

This is the first in a new series of four churches for the Let's Paint New Mexico blog photo challenge.  Can't wait to see what the other 3 churches will be.  The little village churches of New Mexico are some of my favorite subjects to paint.  This one was great fun.  I decided to do this series in watercolor rather than my usual oil.  Sometimes changing mediums is just what is needed for a fresh perspective!
