This is one of the favorite beaches in our area of the locals.  I took the photo reference a long time ago, and finally got around to painting it.  The waters in our area are as gorgeous as the Caribbean!

This was my submission to the Let's Paint New Mexico blog this month.  Placitas is a quaint little village on the north side of the Sandia Mountains by Albuquerque, NM.  It's such a sweet and peaceful place, not far from Albuquerque, but like another world away from the hustle and bustle of the large city.  I always dreamed of building an adobe home and retiring there to paint and live in the beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
