Coral Reef 4 by Marcy Brennan
Coral Reef 4 - 20" x 20" x 2" - oil and cold wax on cradled birch panel - $950
This is the fourth in a series of four oil and cold wax paintings on cradled birch panels. In working this series, I returned to my love of the colors of the waters that surround us where my husband and I live on beautiful Hutchinson Island, Florida. In working the final stages of the paintings, I began adding corals to the blues on two of the pieces, and as I added some textures to the pieces, they reminded me of underwater coral, thus the name for the series.

Coral Reef 2 by Marcy Brennan
This is the second in a series of four oil and cold wax paintings on cradled birch panels. This work has a feeling of sky, water and coral under the water.

Ocean Swept - Abstract by Marcy Brennan
24" x 24" x 1.5" oil on gallery wrapped canvas - $500
I simply love conch shells but have never painted the beautiful inside of one. My goal was to do an abstracted version of one I had laying around my house. I had such fun blending the pinks, greys and corals together in this work and added just a hint of our yummy ocean blue water peeking through at the corners to give it that "sense of place."
