Old Town Hollyhocks by Marcy Brennan

8" x 10" oil on Masonite panel

We had an adobe style house when we lived in the NE Heights of Albuquerque, NM years ago and my husband (who fancied himself a master gardener) planted beautiful pink hollyhocks along the wall of our courtyard.  They grew like weeds - beautiful ones.  The Let's Paint New Mexico blog photo challenge in which I participate made me homesick for our adobe house, views of the city, and our pink hollyhocks.  I so loved painting this one!  Click here to check out the challenge blog.
